It's that close already! Final ads are being placed (radio and print), and we have a crew ready to begin setup on Friday, June 4 before the vendors begin to arrive, although we could use a couple more strong bodies (heavy wood tables). Also, greeters at the welcome table for one to two hours at a time are appreciated, two at a time, and welcome to have a fiber project with you there to work on. Please reply via email to firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up; thanks! Since the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center moved us back to the High Desert Activity Center, the spinning circle will be indoors as there is plenty of space.
A great help to getting the word out is word of mouth sharing! Please, share with all of your appropriate email lists, social media, etc. Link to this website, or any current online Fiber Market Day ad such as the one on the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center website and/or Facebook page (just make sure the ad is one for 2021).
Fiber friends, we look forward to seeing many of you there on June 5! Looking forward to it...
This meeting will be held outdoors at the home of Lamken's Lambs in the Terrebonne area, Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2:00 pm. We will be organizing signs for Fiber Market Day (mainly for within the fairgrounds driveways and parking lots), and going over all those fun details to finalize the event! BYO lawn/camp chair, drinks and snacks if you want them. Members please check your email for the address if you don't have it, or email email@example.com before 1:00 pm before the meeting. Potential members welcome as well. Many hands make light work, so we hope to see many of you there, as well as helping with setup for FMD the afternoon of June 4.
My garage has many fleeces in various stages of getting ready for Market Day, fluffy washed fleeces drying, and the wool combs seeing pretty regular use, and sure that many of your homes are seeing much of the same. I'm very much looking forward to finally getting together at a wool gathering type venue after all this time! See you soon!
