We had our virtual meeting on Sunday, where it is always good to see/hear each other even if it is on screen! Meeting minutes will be emailed to members.
The main discussion was regarding hosting a fall farm day, and it was decided that we'll give it a go! This is in lieu of the online auction that we did the past couple of years as a fundraiser, with either a "booth" fee or sales percentage, which won't be huge and will be decided on at the November 8 meeting. An event link will be added under the Events section on this website as soon as it is approved (via The Bulletin event listings as the Eventbrite option through Weebly is not that functional for a free event without tickets). This outdoor event is for members as vendors, to keep it small and within COVID guidelines. Please reply to the member email that went out to confirm your attendance as a vendor. This will be held at the Roy's farm in the Terrebonne area, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14. It will be outdoors, and plan on a usual vendor space with a canopy (just in case). It is not limited to only fiber products and gifts if you have other nice items you would like to have for sale, but fiber is still the main focus, of course. If it's a cool day there will be a couple of barrel type fires going. Straw bales will be provided as canopy anchors. We're looking forward to getting together after all these months of social distancing!
If you are not a member, please do invite all of your fiber enthusiast friends, share this event online, layer up according to the weather that day, and join us! We want to see your creative masks!
Do something fun with fiber today!
