![]() No worries...we're still at it! Here in central Oregon it's the drab time of year with farm pastures basically dormant, but there are signs of green showing up out there! Good time to clean out barn and tack spaces, and work on fiber projects...how many do YOU have waiting? We had a small January Zoom meeting to touch base. Some have been busy with lambing, and shearing season is coming up soon (make your appointment with your shearer). It's time to get annual memberships in (downloadable under Forms). It is looking encouraging for Fiber Market Day to take place on June 5, as other events at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds are in the works, with all the COVID precautions in place of course. Local fair scheduled dates are July 28 - Aug 1 for Deschutes, July 21-24 for Jefferson, and no info yet for Crook County. Not sure how those are going to work, but here's hoping! Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival is scheduled for September 25-26. Black Sheep Gathering decided to cancel for this year. The logistics of each location is different, so understandably some may work out better than others. The High Desert Activity Center, where we hold our event, is a large open space, as well as plenty of room for outdoor vendors. Our February Zoom meeting is scheduled for February 21 (moved out a week to avoid conflicting with Valentine's day), at 2:00 pm; members will receive the link via email. Hopefully this finds every one of you looking forward to making 2021 a productive and fun year with fiber! Lynne for HDWG PS (Why a puppy pic? Just because how cute is a puppy in her first snow?)
