Fairs and Website Changes . . .

Happy hot summer!
Hopefully you're getting opportunities to cool off on some of these hot days (the canal going through our place has been looking pretty tempting lately, but no, haven't gone there...).

A heads up regarding our website: We are making a change from Weebly to Squarespace, and may be offline a few days around August 1-5 as our younger, more web savvy member, Monica, initiates the transfer of info. It will have a similar look to the current site, and has some aspects that will suit our needs better going forward.

The Deschutes County Fair in Redmond, OR is coming up August 3-7, and open class livestock is back this year! It may be a small showing getting up to speed again, but we are appreciative all the same. Be sure to visit the sheep barn, and check out the show times. Our HDWG display may be divided between the sheep barn and the Fiber Arts department in the main exhibit building. We hear, via Central Oregon Spinners and Weavers, that the Fiber Arts department will be located out in the main open class exhibit area. They will have all the usual fun set up, with table looms for anyone to try out, and often spinners at their wheels for demonstration as well.

The Crook County Fair in Prineville is the following week, August 10-13, so be ready to continue enjoying our fun local fairs then as well.

Oregon State Fair is August 26 - September 5.

Hope to see you there!
